Actually it all started before November and honestly I don't know how long I've had what I've had but I can tell you it must have been more than a year because I still suffer symptoms and am having problems with my legs.
Let me back up a bit though or actually come back to the present. Last month, July 5th, I went into urgent care because I had an infection in my legs, the right leg being the worse. I didn't know what caused it (yet) but I knew I couldn't walk without a cane and the 4th was just excruciating for me.
I went in and got some antibiotics for the infection and the swelling. About a week later, I had a follow-up because I wanted to know what CAUSED the infection and not just treat the symptoms. So I asked the doctor who saw me what caused the infection. He said, "I don't know" (which is what most doctors say, right?). So I told him that since he didn't know, I ordered a battery of tests from my blood to check the endocrine system and immune system too. I wanted to know what I had. And that's when I found out . . .
It turned out all my functions were normal but I had a high GLUCOSE reading and my leg became reinfected and I couldn't walk again. My blood sugar after a 12 hour fast was 298 and I knew what that meant. They call it diabetes; I refuse to accept it and I'll tell you why in another post.
I'm going to talk about the turnaround I've done in less than 31 days and the diet regimen that helped me with that turnaround. Also, I will tell you many of the symptoms I've had over the past year that led up to this, so stay tuned.
Right now I am still having to test my leg and my doctor wants me to have an MRI. She believes I have osteomyelitis; a fancy word for a bone infection and I'm working on getting that done. I'm still not out of the woods but it is getting better and I see light at the end of this tunnel.
Remember though that no matter how dark it is or seems, your internal light always guides your steps along the path that leads you towards your destiny and dreams.
